This policy covers the iPhone game Bring a Sword ("the game"), published by MCALBYRNE LTD ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16879406), trading as Overtwo. MCALBYRNE LTD is the data controller for any personal data covered by this policy.
The short version
The game does not collect, store, share or sell any personal data. It does not connect to the internet, and it has no account, analytics, advertising or tracking.
What the game stores, and where
The game saves your progress (your heroes, gear, campaign progress and Endless Trial records) and your settings (volumes, subtitles, camera shake, haptics, controls and text size) only on your iPhone, inside the game's own storage. We never receive this information.
Like any app data, these files may be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backups if you have backups turned on. Apple runs those backups under its own privacy policy. We cannot see or access them.
Deleting the game deletes its saves from your device.
What we do not do
- We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers or any other personal data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not sell or share data, because we hold none.
- The game has no in-app purchases, accounts, chat or online features.
Crash reports
If you have chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics with app developers (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us anonymised crash reports. These reports do not identify you, and we use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in the same setting. Apple's handling of this data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
If you email us
If you email us for support, we use your email address and anything you include only to answer you. We keep the correspondence no longer than needed to deal with your request and then delete it. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Children
The game is rated 13+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your personal data. Because the game collects none, there is normally nothing for us to provide. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Changes
If the game ever gains a feature that collects data, such as cloud saves, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
