WYSIWYG CRYO-EM MASK GENERATION
CryomaskR is a desktop application designed to simplify and streamline the process of creating masks for cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM) data analysis. Built with a "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) philosophy, CryomaskR provides an intuitive interface for structural biologists to generate high-quality masks without the need for complex command-line operations.
Traditional mask generation in cryoEM workflows often involves iterative scripting and visualization cycles. CryomaskR eliminates this friction by providing real-time visual feedback, allowing researchers to interactively create and refine masks while seeing immediate results. This approach significantly reduces the time from data acquisition to structural analysis.
If you see a message that "CryomaskR cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer," you can bypass macOS Gatekeeper using one of these methods:
Method 1: Right-click to open
Method 2: Terminal command
xattr -cr CryomaskR.appNote: Official Apple notarization is in progress. Once complete, these steps will no longer be necessary.
